General Information Session – Demonstration of the CSTS Intrastate Functionality
Presenter: Carrie Stumne (Strategic Technologies)

The new CSTS Intrastate functionality will be going live in Pilot Sites in July and is scheduled to be fully implemented state-wide this fall. Since the intrastate transfer process in most agencies affects supervisors, probation officers, support staff, and CSTS system administrators, this session is an opportunity to get a comprehensive training primer and demonstration of the new intrastate functionality. Carrie will review the required setup tasks, review security options, and demonstrate how client and case information is transferred between CSTS sites both from a sender and receiver perspective. The project’s rollout strategy and future training opportunities will also be discussed.

2:15 to 2:30

3:00 to 3:30

General Session – Demo of the CSTS Supervision Violation Prototype
Presenter: Carl Thelen (Strategic Technologies)

After the Intrastate release this fall, the next major enhancement project is the new Supervision Violation functionality, which includes probation and hearings/release unit (HRU) violations. Beginning in April of 2009, a state-wide committee has been working to standardize the data elements, format, MNCIS prior record search, and related work flow needed to produce the violation reports. If cases involve an intrastate transfer, the violation data will also be routed electronically through CSTS to the origination agency. This session will be a demonstration of the prototype that will review the future process of preparing the violations.
